Noillirk Scoring

Noillirk scoring is simple: the more people who would give your answer, the more points it earns. The top answer on each board is worth 100 points, and the value roughly halves at each step down. This page lists every tier, shows how points become altitude, and explains what counts as a good day on the daily climb.

Noillirk scoring tiers

TierPointsWhen
☀️ Sky High100#1 on the board

Ties on the board do not exist: each of the eight answers has its own place. If your answer matches two of them, you get the better one. The rules for matching typos and plurals are in how to play.

From points to altitude

Every point lifts the balloon 20 metres. Seven prompts at up to 100 points each make 700 points, or 14 km. A typical first climb lands between 4 and 7 km. Getting above 10 km means you found the top answer on most prompts.

Noillirk scoring in unlimited mode

In unlimited the points are the same, but there is no round limit. You have three balloons instead, and every answer worth 4 points or less pops one. Your best unlimited score is stored separately from your daily stats, so one great run does not change your daily average.

Daily stats and streaks

After each daily climb the game updates four numbers in your browser: games played, average points, best score and current streak. The streak grows when you finish on consecutive UTC days. Nothing is sent to a server; see the privacy policy. Curious how this compares with a game that rewards rare answers? See Krillion vs Noillirk.

Noillirk scoring FAQ

What is a perfect climb?

Seven number one answers in a day: 700 points and 14 km. Your share grid is then seven suns.

Why does second place score 64 and not 90?

Points halve as you move down the board, so the top answer is clearly the prize. That keeps a day of safe, popular answers ahead of a day of lucky long shots.

Is there a bonus for speed?

No. The timer only limits thinking time. Two players with the same answers get the same score.
